About The Position

The Engineering Change Order (ECO) Specialist works under limited direct supervision to oversee, facilitate, and execute engineering change processes across product lifecycles. Drawing on comprehensive domain knowledge and familiarity with interrelated technical and business disciplines, this role ensures that engineering changes are implemented systematically while minimizing financial risk, material exposure, and schedule delays. The ideal candidate will represent the organization to internal and external customers, assume leadership over project components, and apply sound judgment and creative problem-solving to complex operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in change management implementation within a technical, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and inventory concepts.
  • Technically competent to evaluate proposed engineering changes and analyze their downstream impact on manufacturing, supply chain, and cost structures.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems using established practices, guidelines, and analytical methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse internal teams and external client organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-demand team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required and occasionally adjust work hours to facilitate communication with global/overseas sites.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering change control, configuration management, or technical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the proper end-to-end implementation of customer Engineering Change Orders by collaborating directly with customer engineering teams and internal Change Control Boards (CCB). Scope includes New Product Introduction (NPI), continuous product improvements, and End-of-Life (EOL) / Excess & Obsolete (E&O) material management.
  • Drive changes through a structured, systematic approach designed to minimize cost exposure, reduce excess material risk, and protect customer delivery commitments.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional CCB meetings to align stakeholders, review technical impacts, and coordinate implementation strategies.
  • Develop, track, and report operational metrics to monitor change management effectiveness. Provide actionable input to refine change management plans, processes, and tools, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help facilitate Copy Exactly (CE!) methodologies and ensure strict adherence to established quality and configuration standards.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external customer representatives regarding strategy, implementation status, and lessons learned.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal service teams. Lead project components where errors could impact resource expenditure and project milestones.
