About The Position

Tatham Engineering is seeking a recent engineering graduate to join their Water & Wastewater department in Barrie. This role offers the opportunity to work on the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations, asset inventory reviews, hydrant flow / C-factor testing, and hydraulic modeling. Responsibilities include preparing design calculations, report writing, project coordination, and management. The candidate will also prepare submissions and applications for approvals, cost estimates, tender documents, specifications, and construction contract documents. Additionally, they will conduct construction inspection, assist with contract administration, and interact with clients and external parties as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in an Engineering program
  • Meet the requirements of PEO as a candidate for becoming a professional engineer in the Province of Ontario and be committed to following the PEO Competency Based Assessment program
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience (co-op experience included)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Enthusiasm to work in a team structure and a willingness to help and collaborate with others
  • Working knowledge of appropriate design and analysis software
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards P.Eng. designation is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and implementation of water & wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations, asset inventory reviews, hydrant flow / C-factor testing and hydraulic modeling
