About The Position
Mesa is seeking an Engineering Associate to join a collaborative design team working on power substation design. This entry- or junior-level opportunity supports work in the power delivery sector and offers technical growth through daily collaboration with subject matter experts using engineering analysis and design methods and tools. The role provides exposure to Greenfield and Brownfield substation design at voltages ranging from distribution level through 500 kV. The position is a hybrid home-and-office arrangement located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Requirements
- Ability to utilize CAD software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Customer support acumen.
- Entry-level to three years of applicable experience; entry-level applicants may apply.
Nice To Haves
- Passed the FE Exam.
- Experience in power substation design.
- Engineering studies, including coursework in power systems.
- Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to develop power substation designs.
