About The Position

Support the New Bern and Component Warehouse teams by gathering and entering data, updating standard documents, following checklists and forms, and carrying out other well-defined and structured activities in support of Material Flow Engineering functions as directed by the assigned engineer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion).
  • Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from a bid job in the preceding 12 months.
  • Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
  • Associates cannot have less than 16 UTO hours.
  • Associate must be able to work 10+ hours per day and 50+ hours per week.
  • Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position, to include processes and computer requirements.
  • A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection and entry into Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
  • Process minor modifications via PCR process.
  • Record work activities for study.
  • Conduct work evaluations per provided worksheets.
  • Document standard work methods using digital camera, MS Office products.
  • Make simple but accurate measurements using calipers, tape measure, etc.
  • Assist in setting up, evaluating, and troubleshooting pilot equipment.
  • Design and build simple structures with simple hand tools (Creform® racks & similar).
  • Post notices and alerts in the plant as directed.
  • Help prepare for Kaizen events, VGV programming, and other MFE projects.
  • VGV/Tugger and other certifications as needed.
