Burnside Group of Companies is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Engineering Assistant with 1 – 2 years of experience to join our Water & Wastewater Infrastructure team. As a part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects involving the assessment, planning, study, design, approval, and construction administration of municipal, Indigenous, and some private sector water and wastewater infrastructure. We are looking for an individual who can work both independently on project sites but also remotely in a team environment. Our ideal candidate is flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities/assignments. The ideal candidate needs to be able to learn in a fast-paced environment, be fair, be willing and able to develop working relationships with all involved parties, be meticulous in their notes, and be willing to go that extra mile to continue to provide quality service to our clients. This position is based out of our Orangeville (preferred) or Guelph office. Occasional travel to other offices as well as client sites is a requirement.
