This role involves supporting engineering functions, specifically focused on test and measurement, within a manufacturing environment. The Engineering Assistant I will work a fixed shift pattern to ensure efficient operation and troubleshooting of production processes at the CVG 300 facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work the specified 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in engineering technology or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and test methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using standard lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine setup, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Execute standardized test procedures on products and components, accurately recording results.
  • Assist engineers in the analysis of test data and identification of product defects or process anomalies.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs under supervision.
  • Collect and organize data for engineering reports and presentations.
  • Support engineers in the development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Provide feedback to engineers on recurring issues or potential improvements in testing procedures.
  • May assist with inventory management of engineering materials and components.
  • Operate within the designated shift schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday / Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6 pm to 6 am.
