About The Position

Vicor is an American manufacturer of advanced 48V centric DC-DC converters with industry-leading power and current density, enabling breakthrough power delivery performance. As an engineering-focused company, we provide an opportunity to be part of the team that further innovates, markets, sells and supports the power modules that drive key advancements in AI, electric vehicles, and aerospace. Vicor is expanding to vertically integrate core printed circuit board operations. As such, we are seeking an Engineering Aide to support the daily production of our Copper Plating operations. The Engineering Aide is responsible for assisting engineers with technical tasks and project support. This role involves setting up equipment, monitoring processes, collecting data, and compiling summaries and reports. The Engineering Aide works under the close direction of senior personnel and provides multifunctional technical support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience supporting manufacturing/production.
  • Experience in qualifying new process equipment.
  • Solid skills in problem-solving, reporting, manufacturing quality, and quality principles.
  • Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work and handle chemicals daily.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet all day.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree or Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering to support the qualification of new production processes.
  • Process routings / part specific travelers
  • Create travelers for daily production use.
  • Process/location specific requirements (i.e. electrolytic Cu thickness, plating recipe selection, etc.).
  • The ability to train and lead operators to established documentation.
  • Generate data to help monitor and improve processes.
  • Write all documentation and training of operators to release new processes.
  • Maintain ownership for a predetermined process/capability in support of engineering. May be trained to serve as back-up to other processes/capabilities as needed.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and equipment to be able to startup, run proficiently and shutdown chemical operations.
  • Filling of process chemicals to support production (i.e. making up process tanks, replenishment adds, etc.).
  • Support new equipment installation and debugging of equipment as it relates to process/product qualification.
  • Work with operator staff daily to align priorities to ensure continuous process operations.
