About The Position

This role involves developing and coordinating the creation and modification of manufacturing processes for complex aerospace parts, including creating CNC programs. The position requires performing project engineering work within the Engineering Group, applying standard and advanced manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria to develop or improve processes and manufacturing systems. The engineer will develop engineered solutions based on their ideas, with approval from plant management, and effectively participate in a team setting to achieve collective results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Skilled in the use of 3-D CAD software, CNC Milling & Lathe programming and process development and programming, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, especially related to machining manufacturing methods and fixturing.
  • Ability to maintain professional customer relationships to correspond with the specific customer’s needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Cutting Tool Design and Jig & Fixture Design for Production Equipment.
  • Experience with Honeywell manufacturing methods is a plus.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
  • CNC programming experience with CAMWorks is a plus.

  • Continually seek new manufacturing technology and processing methods that will improve the productivity, cost, quality, and agility of manufacturing.
  • Develop robust, capable manufacturing processes for the machining of complex aerospace components.
  • Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies where appropriate.
  • Serve, when required, as the manufacturing engineering representative on cross-functional projects.
