This position is responsible for planning and completing assigned work with minimum supervision. The role involves performing electrical and mechanical work, including troubleshooting, installation, and repair. Additionally, the engineer will maintain and service HVAC equipment, and perform other tasks such as carpentry, painting, stocking, and general labor as needed. The engineer will also maintain sufficient inventory, conduct routine rounds of engine room, facility, and casino spaces to report unusual operating conditions, and participate in emergency response drills. A thorough understanding of ship and facility layout, systems, and general equipment operating procedures is required, along with the ability to line up various systems for operation. The role also includes reporting malfunctioning equipment and repairs to management, working in confined spaces, adhering to all safety procedures, and assisting Marine and/or Security Departments during emergencies. Service to internal and external customers must reflect the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation, and Recognition (S.T.A.R.). A critical responsibility is to immediately inform the on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security, and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity. This position will not perform or assist with any gaming function. Miscellaneous duties as assigned are also part of the role.
