The Engineer is responsible for efficiently and safely operating central HVAC and mechanical equipment using sound engineering practices and specified corporate operating procedures. This role involves accurately and efficiently repairing and maintaining various equipment including food production and kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines, refrigeration systems, boilers, plumbing systems, and all electrical and natural gas distribution systems. The Engineer will troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic problems, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensure all fire safety equipment is operational and emergency procedures are implemented when required. A key aspect of this role is responding to HVAC and room calls as a priority, producing accurate logs and maintenance forms, and providing training to other team members (Engineer II and Engineer III). The position requires adherence to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and performing work in a safe and efficient manner, along with other duties as assigned.
