Engineer

Energy Transfer•San Antonio, TX

About The Position

The Engineer identifies opportunities to maximize impact through improved internal SOPs and best practices, increased regulatory compliance, and operational support. The role supports standardization across Gas Operations divisions; Operations Excellence (PSMS) rollout, training, and support; small project review and management; PHMSA compliance; HCA and Class Location encroachment committee work; DOT annual reporting; engineering standard and SOP compliance reviews; GIS, engineering, and as-built records; pipeline integrity; and pipeline permitting. The Engineer implements small field-generated plant improvement projects and medium-sized commercial expansion projects through their full project cycles, from scoping and design to procurement, construction, and completion. The role works with operations personnel and contractors, supports field compression reliability and plant troubleshooting, coordinates with Facility Planning on gathering-system expansion simulations, and participates in facility PSM activities. It also maintains facility process simulations and works with senior process engineers on compliant process solutions, while continually developing engineering knowledge and proficiency. The position is usually performed under normal office working conditions, with occasional travel and visits to industrial or manufacturing settings. Such visits may involve exposure to materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.
