About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Casino premises and structure and in upkeep of casino equipment and machinery. Operates the following equipment: Scissor lift, Pallet Jack up to five thousands (5,000) pound capacity, and Fork lift. Is able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds. Inspects, repairs, and maintains the following systems and equipment: Refrigeration system, Kitchen equipment, Electrical systems, Lighting systems including: Changing light bulbs and changing fluorescent tubes, HVAC equipment, and Plumbing. Changes tires on electric carts used by the Casino. Completes assigned work orders and return all paperwork to Supervisor. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor. The duties listed are not set forth for the purposes of limiting the assignment of work. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining various types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to maintain hot water system and perform repairs to commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Good electrical background with required certification.
  • Completed a trade.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make educated ethical decisions as necessary.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prepare detailed professional correspondence, memoranda, policies, procedures, and regulations related to the employee’s duties.
  • General knowledge of Windows-based computer operating systems.
