Scout Motors is bringing back an iconic American vehicle, electrifying and digitizing it with American innovation. We are looking for talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial individuals to join our team. This role will be part of an iconic brand set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. The position involves owning whole-vehicle validation definition and execution for electrical/electronic (EE) vehicle attributes, including system integration, software release validation, functional performance, and safe vehicle operation across real-world customer use cases. The role requires defining and executing EE validation strategies to ensure vehicle electrical systems, software features, and integrated functions meet performance, safety, and customer expectations across all vehicle operating conditions. The engineer will serve as the vehicle-level validation authority for Compound Release Deployments, supporting Safe-to-Drive (S2D) readiness checks and Functional Sprint Testing. This includes leading validation activities to verify critical vehicle systems and validating EE-related vehicle functions across major domains. The engineer will develop and manage vehicle-level test cases, validation procedures, and instrumentation strategies, translating EE system requirements into executable validation plans. Ensuring robust integration between EE systems and other vehicle platforms is key, as is coordinating vehicle-level validation execution and establishing traceability from requirements to issue resolution. Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential for identifying root causes, resolving issues, and improving software release quality. Analyzing validation results, identifying risks, and providing data-driven recommendations are also critical aspects of this role.
