About The Position

F.tech R&D North America Inc. seeks Engineer, Validation. This role involves evaluating validation requirements from automotive clients, developing test methods, designing jigs, preparing and presenting test reports, setting up and checking FEA models for accuracy, documenting procedures and systems, creating engineering validation and analysis reports, preparing project reports, controlling project schedules, conducting FEA-Test correlation studies, and serving as a liaison between customers and internal groups. The position also includes assigning jobs to technicians, making technical recommendations, leading product testing, developing test strategies, analyzing data to identify root causes and propose countermeasures, assisting in validation solutions and R&D projects, participating in training, and making recommendations for efficiency. The engineer will also collaborate with project teams and assist in training and production release support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related field
6 months of experience in the job offered or in Validation Engineering
Experience with FEA testing
Experience with Finite Element Modeling
Experience with CAE Modeling
Experience with Hyperworks
Experience with Abaqus

Responsibilities

Evaluate validation requirements from automotive clients and develop adequate test methods and design the jigs
Prepare test reports and present reports to clients as needed
Prepare independent FEA model setup and Model check to ensure accurate analysis
Document test procedures, programs, and test systems
Create and maintain engineering validation and analysis reports like ADVPR and communicate with client on a timely basis
Prepare project reports and attend meetings
Control project schedules to ensure proper timing
Conduct FEA-Test correlation studies
Serve as a liaison between customer and different company groups
Assign jobs to technician and check model setup and accuracy
Make technical recommendations that positively affect the direction of a project and the department
Lead product testing by working with design engineers and set schedules and coordinate test activities with support from within the department to assure timely project completion
Maintain high standards and develop test strategies or plans using applicable standards and tools
Analyze a variety of data to identify root cause and propose effective countermeasures
Assist in validation solutions prior to testing
Assist in research and development projects
Participate in needs analysis and attend and perform the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs
Make recommendations to increase both personal and team efficiency and productivity
Work collaboratively with project teams and the business to evaluate solutions
Assist in training and production release support
