About The Position

The Role Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. This position is for Test Engineer (Electrical) for CVN Overhaul. Responsibilities include the planning, preparation, briefing, and conduct of testing of propulsion plant equipment, to include data review and test problem resolution. Develop, review, and revise, and execute Navy Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and safety tagout documents and specifications to support work execution. Approves issuance of WAFs, work permits, and safety tag-outs for assigned systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and 0 years of relevant professional/exempt experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • US Citizenship Required
