About The Position

Brooks is a leading provider of automation solutions with over 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, offering precision robotics, integrated automation systems, and contamination control solutions that empower chip manufacturers worldwide. Our product portfolio includes a range of automation solutions, including robots, vacuum systems, and atmospheric robots for semiconductor manufacturing. This is an on-site contract position based out of our Fremont, CA location. The role will focus on current project and system integration, creating and maintaining build schedules aligned with project milestones, tracking and managing materials, and conducting regular progress meetings. It also involves assembling modules, integrating systems, developing build processes, and resolving build-related issues. Additionally, the role provides project support for upcoming demo tools by working with Engineering to identify delta and retrofit parts, developing and managing build schedules to meet project deadlines, retrofitting systems, and resolving issues.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in an Engineering (Hardware) related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with semiconductor systems.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly techniques.
Experience using lab equipment such as multimeter, dial indicator, caliper, laser measurement tool.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to set up test, propose test plan, collect and analyze data.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations for creating slides and reports.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical research and analysis to support engineering projects.
Design, develop, and test systems, equipment, and components using specialized software and tools.
Build and test prototypes of products or systems to evaluate performance and identify design problems.
Collect and analyze data from experiments, tests, and fieldwork to identify trends and anomalies.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Provide technical support to engineers and other project team members, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project tasks and resources.
Collaborate with other technical professionals, including engineers, scientists, and designers, to develop and implement solutions to technical challenges.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the engineering field.
Create and maintain build schedules aligned with project milestones.
Track and manage materials and conduct regular progress meetings.
Assemble modules, integrate systems, develop build process and resolve build-related issues.
Provide project support for upcoming demo tool by working with Engineering to identify delta and retrofit parts, develop and manage build schedules to meet project deadlines ad retrofit systems and resolve issues.
