About The Position

This role focuses on engineering responsibilities within the technical professional II level. The position requires a strong educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and excellent communication skills. The engineer will be responsible for leading and managing suppliers, handling multiple concurrent activities, and some domestic and international travel to various plant locations, proving grounds, and technical centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of air intake systems and components
• General knowledge of CAD design
• General knowledge of spreadsheets and building presentations

Nice To Haves

• 5 years or more experience with air intake systems or related engine and vehicle level testing (NVH, Rise-Over Ambient, Water-fording, etc.)
• Experience with plastics manufacturing processes and tool design – especially injection and blow-molding technologies
• Knowledge of systems and processes
• Green belt or equivalent experience in DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) proactive and/or reactive quality tools
• Familiarity with powertrain software and controls
• Working knowledge of UG/NX CAD systems

• Effectively operate independently in a remote or hybrid office/remote workplace
• Create and apply component and system DFMEAs and DVP&Rs
