About The Position

The Engineer Tech 1 supports the design and development of Lancer products with hands-on prototyping and testing. This role works closely with project teams to ensure prototype and evaluation work is effective and efficient.

Requirements

• Familiarity with manufacturing practices.
• Proficiency in one or more fabrication skills (Refrigeration, Sheet Metal Forming, Wood Fabrication, Metal Machining / CNC, 3D Printing / Additive manufacturing, General Manufacturing Assembly, Electronic Controls / Automation / Instrumentation / Programming).
• Ability to create simple block diagrams for mechanical and electrical applications.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and become certified.
• Ability to self-manage: Organize time to best support multiple initiatives with quickly changing priority.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Technician in Refrigeration.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Some 3D CAD modeling experience, SolidWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Best Practices (5S, TPM).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a team environment.
• 2-Year Technical Degree preferred.
