About The Position

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking an Engineer, Systems IV to support the NIWC PAC Information Technology Management Support Services contract. In this senior-level role, the selected candidate will serve as the Team Lead within the SWAN Network Operations Center, coordinating team task assignments and working closely with the government lead. The Engineer, Systems IV is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise information systems that support the organization’s IT infrastructure; evaluating system requirements; defining technology solutions; and ensuring seamless integration with existing applications while planning for scalability, performance, and security. The position also monitors system health, provides technical guidance to application development teams, and implements robust security measures to protect organizational data and networks.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance
  • IAT II certification (CySA+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA - Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-level IT systems, including servers, storage, networking, and infrastructure components.
  • Analyze system requirements and define technology solutions to meet current and future business needs.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize IT systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Document infrastructure design, configurations, processes, and issues to track system health and operational status.
  • Support application development teams with system integration, new technologies, and requirements planning.
  • Design and implement security measures to safeguard organizational data, networks, and systems.
  • Ensure infrastructure projects comply with security standards and integrate seamlessly with existing applications.
  • Plan for system scalability and future technology needs.
  • Apply expertise in infrastructure, application programming, and web/software applications to resolve complex technical challenges.
