At Scout Motors, you don't just design vehicles- you shape the future of the road. Our Engineering team is where bold ideas meet rigorous execution, building machines that are as durable and capable as the people who drive them. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with brilliant minds across disciplines, turning complex challenges into elegant, scalable solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and user experience. This is a place where your fingerprints are found on metal – where what you design gets built, driven, and remembered. If you're hungry to engineer something that matters, Scout Motors is where that ambition finds its highest gear. Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Design and Development: Engineer steering systems, including Electric Power Steering (EPS) focused on E/E architecture and embedded software. Lead the development and integration of hardware and software functions, including control strategies, DTC, signal interfaces, and system behavior. E/E and Software Integration: Define and manage system requirements for steering E/E architecture and software functionality. Collaborate with software, controls, and vehicle integration teams to ensure robust implementation of steering features and compliance with system requirements. Validation and Testing: Define and execute system-level validation plans, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and vehicle-level testing. Diagnostics and Calibration: Define Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), logging strategies, and event detection requirements. Support system calibration, data analysis, and debugging activities to ensure high-quality system performance and issue resolution. Functional Safety (FuSa): Support the definition and execution of functional safety requirements, including safety concepts, hazard analysis, and verification/validation activities. Collaborate with safety and software teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Firmware and Software Lifecycle: Support firmware/software release activities, including integration, validation, and over-the-air (OTA) update readiness. Ensure alignment with program milestones and change management processes. Supplier Coordination: Interface with suppliers to ensure alignment on system requirements, software deliverables, diagnostics, and validation plans. Drive resolution of technical issues. Technical Excellence: Uphold engineering excellence by driving robust system design, introducing innovative solutions, and serving as a key technical contributor across cross-functional teams. Engineering Improvements: Critically review system performance, software behavior, and diagnostic strategies, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced robustness.
