JOB SUMMARY This position provides a high degree of internal/external consulting for Charlotte Water projects and operations as a subject-matter expert in Field Operations. Assists operational staff with complex repairs, sanitary sewer overflow reduction efforts, and other technical challenges. This position is responsible for conducting system analysis of the collection and water distribution systems and developing recommendations to improve performance and efficiency. The role includes managing contracts related to system analysis initiatives and infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with applicable standards. Work involves some project management functions with emphasis on providing guidance and support to projects in planning, design, and regulatory oversight. This position provides technical assistance and serves as a lead or supervisor over technical and administrative staff as well.
