About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining and recommending improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 22716) and regulations. This involves data analysis, auditing, and continuous improvement activities. The position also requires active practice of safety, proper use of PPE, recognition of quality products and practices, and taking action when defects are identified. Maintaining a positive work atmosphere through respect and teamwork is essential. The role involves lifting 25-50lbs consistently.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required.
Previous leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Strong technical writing skills required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external customers.
Proven ability with positive team building skills.

Nice To Haves

American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Engineer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and recommend improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 22716) and regulations through data analysis, auditing, and continuous improvement activities.
Write/modify SOP’s, maintain control of documents/records, and confirm effectiveness of employee training on quality processes and standards.
Lead internal and external audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional team to resolve issues and implement process improvements through RCA, FMEA, CAPA, etc.
Track and analyze quality metrics to drive internal process reliability and external supplier performance.
Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job.
Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisors, and management.
Able to lift 25 - 50lbs consistently.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Establish rapport with direct reports.
Lead by example.
