About The Position

This role focuses on understanding customer needs and driving process improvements to reduce defects and waste. The primary duties involve creating various quality-related documents, utilizing statistical process control (SPC) data for production improvements, analyzing data for waste reduction, performing risk assessments, and investigating failures through structured problem-solving. The position also emphasizes safety practices, proper use of PPE, identifying and addressing quality defects, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere. The role requires the ability to lift 25-50 lbs consistently and work flexible hours as needed, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic technical writing skills required.
  • Ability to lift 25 - 50lbs consistently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Engineer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Write protocols and reports such as IQ, OQ, PQ, CAPA’s, process capability, etc.
  • Create customer required documentation such as COA, COC, and release authorizations.
  • Utilize SPC data to drive production improvements to deliver consistent quality products.
  • Analyze data to identify, track, and help implement waste reduction strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments in conjunction with applicable departments.
  • Investigate failures using structured problem-solving activities.
  • Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisors, and management.
