Researches, develops, designs, and/or tests components, equipment, systems, and networks in one or more engineering disciplines. May design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Applies engineering principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. A successful candidate should have prior experience in the full RCOH engineering product and execution production cycle at the senior engineer or supervisor level. Strong technical background in A1B and/or A4W Carrier electrical systems and component designs is preferred. Experience with Availability Work Package (AWP) review and acceptance, scoping, estimating for in service carrier repairs and modernization is required. A successful candidate should have experience with evaluating and presenting detailed engineering alternatives to the customer and working to mutually agreeable alternative paths for component and system issues for which the primary or historical source or method is no longer an option. The ability to communicate complex ideas through technical reports, presentations, and whitepapers is required.
