About The Position

Toyota's EES PACCC Department seeks a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage new model projects from all aspects of PACCC engineering in Toyota’s North American Manufacturing Shops. The person in this role will support the PACCC Engineering department's objective to provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Engineering Related Field, or 4 years equivalent experience in industry
  • Experience in writing machine specifications for equipment procurement (3+ yrs)
  • Experience leading cross functional discussions & driving direction setting (3+ yrs)
  • Project Schedule development and KPI setting experience (3+ yrs)
  • Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown periods to support tooling modification and installation projects
  • Ability to travel to support work at machine vendors, Toyota manufacturing locations, and occasionally in Japan.
  • Dispatch to another site (~1 year) is likely to support project needs

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ yrs experience in Body Weld, Chassis Weld, or Case Weld (T/M or contractor), PACCC, Assembly Manufacturing Plant Experience
  • Experience in Other Body Functions (Seibi, Carott Seibi, Quality, etc.)
  • Experience in Other Non-Body Related Automotive Divisions
  • Experience working with C3 / Catia / AutoCad
  • Experience in Arc Welding and/or other Metal Joining methods
  • Experience in Battery Module and Pack production
  • Quality measurement and/or analysis experience (Faro or other systems)

Responsibilities

  • Create Equipment Schedules and Budgets for new processes
  • Lead process development through design, machine specification, equipment procurement, installation, safety risk assessments, dimensional accuracy investigations and process trials based on project milestones and events
  • Manage work to achieve project KPI’s
  • Execute onsite equipment modifications during non-production time (weekends, holidays, etc.)
  • Participate in team kaizen and organizational improvement activities
  • Interact with outside groups (Body Manufacturing Pilot, Stamping PE, Plant Facilities, Vendors, etc.) to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts
