About The Position

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join their team at the Plaquemines Parish Facility in Louisiana. This role reports to the Principal Engineer, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering and is responsible for supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering groups concerning Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems. The primary goal is to ensure these systems operate safely, reliably, and as per design with minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in an engineering capacity in an industrial setting in engineering or operations.
  • Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
  • BS. or higher degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, preferably with specialization in Process Control, Control systems, and Instrumentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (Mark VIe & Yokogawa).
  • Experience with Safety Systems (Mark VIe, Yokogawa, HIMA).
  • Experience with Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Emerson/GE, etc.).
  • Experience with Operational Technology Networks, Firewalls and Cyber Security.
  • Experience with Field Instrumentation for process measurement (e.g., Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, etc.).
  • Experience with Control Valves, Shutdown Valves (Air, Gas, and Motor Operated).
  • Experience with Analyzers (H2S, Moisture, etc.).
  • Experience with Gas Chromatographs.
  • Experience with Flow Metering Systems (Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Differential Pressure, etc.) and their transmission systems (e.g. 4-20mA, Hart, ProfiBus, etc.).
  • Experience with Alarm Management Systems including Management of Alarm databases and audits against Operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the complete Plant Instrument and Control system equipment.
  • Support the development and maintenance of field instrumentation specification and data sheets.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators & Metrics for Instrument and Controls.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Instrument control drawings and databases.
  • Support with the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process.
  • Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to Operations groups.
