About The Position

The Engineering Business Management group within the Aircraft Carrier Engineering Program Office (E49) is seeking an Engineering Planning Analyst 1 to support a broad range of business and engineering performance functions. The selected candidate will evaluate cost and schedule performance across the Aircraft Carrier Engineering departments and support continuous improvement of engineering processes. This role will contribute to proposal development efforts and generate reports, metrics, and analyses that measure Engineering’s performance across multiple Aircraft Carrier programs, including new construction, overhaul, and inactivation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey analytical findings clearly
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with varying levels of management
  • Demonstrated interest in engineering business operations, planning, or performance analysis

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cost and schedule performance for Aircraft Carrier Engineering departments
  • Develop and refine processes to improve engineering efficiency and accuracy
  • Support development of engineering proposals and related business documentation
  • Create and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reports spanning various programs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the value stream
  • Interface with leadership at all levels to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations
