We are seeking qualified, confident, and collaborative Entry-Level Engineers to join our HVAC and Plumbing & Fire Protection departments in our Boston office. As an Engineer at JB&B, you'll work on a wide variety of projects-ranging in size, complexity, and duration-across multiple sectors. You'll collaborate with senior engineers and partners, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful client solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (by Summer 2026)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
  • Interest in building systems, sustainability, and innovative design

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects
  • Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans
  • Assist in planning and coordination of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers
  • Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision
  • Design HVAC systems including distribution, recirculation, and exhaust
  • Design plumbing systems including water, gas, and waste distribution
  • Work on facility utilities such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and condensate
  • Lay out sprinkler systems and perform basic calculations for pipe sizing, design densities, and pump horsepower
