About The Position

This role is for a Controls Engineer Intern. The intern will be an engineering student working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Experience in a military or industrial control engineering environment is a plus. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment or independently with little supervision.

Requirements

• Engineering student working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Experience in a military or industrial control engineering environment
• Ability to work well in a team environment or independently with little supervision
• Interest and exposure to HMI design
• Interest and exposure to PLC logic/troubleshooting (Rockwell (Allen Bradley), Siemens)
• Interest and exposure to PLC networks implementation/troubleshooting (Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
• Interest and exposure to Electrical panel design/documentation
• Interest and exposure to Control Systems Designs/troubleshooting
• Interest and exposure to OEM Automation Systems integration
• Interest and exposure to VFD programming/troubleshooting
• Interest and exposure to Basic CAD – Schematics, Panel Design

Nice To Haves

• Troubleshooting skills utilizing a multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Microsoft Office
• Project management
