Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
- 2+ years of civil engineering experience supporting land development, commercial, residential, or site development projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of land development design principles, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the design of commercial, residential, mixed-use, and site development projects from concept through construction.
- Preparing engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Evaluating design alternatives involving grading, drainage, utilities, roadway alignments, right-of-way constraints, and site development requirements.
- Developing construction documents and technical designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.
- Supporting permitting efforts and coordinating with local agencies and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including planners, landscape architects, surveyors, and engineers.
- Reviewing and providing guidance to engineering technicians and junior staff to help ensure quality and consistency.
- Assisting project managers with project delivery, client coordination, and technical problem-solving.
