About The Position

Eberly & Associates, now a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking an experienced Engineer in Training II to join their growing Site Development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, contributing to projects from concept through construction and progressing towards Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure. The position involves collaborating with experienced professionals to deliver innovative engineering solutions that shape communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
• 2+ years of civil engineering experience focused on commercial, residential, and/or site development projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of land development design principles, permitting processes, and applicable regulations.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, engineering calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for land development projects.
• Evaluate and compare design alternatives, including grading, drainage, alignments, utility layouts, and right-of-way considerations.
• Identify practical engineering solutions that meet client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Design site development plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and project documentation.
• Provide guidance and quality review for engineering technicians and junior staff.
• Partner with project managers, clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies for project coordination and permitting.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence, innovation, and client service.
