About The Position

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Fort Collins, Colorado office. This engineer will collaborate with multiple project managers on a diverse range of project types, including municipal, utility, healthcare, affordable housing, educational facilities, and housing developments. Responsibilities include engineering calculations, drawing development, and site visits. The role offers early-career interaction with owners, architects, and contractors, as well as opportunities for marketing activities. Projects are typically located in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum.
  • Proficiency with Civil3D.
  • Has passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination.
  • 2-5 years’ experience.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Fort Collins area.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant Intern experience.
  • Knowledge or proficiency with StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.
  • Knowledge of building and material design codes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time.
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Construction field experience.
  • Can manage small projects through design.
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Use of computer design and graphics software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate work of other disciplines.
  • Completes design calculations for project components.
  • Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Perform reference research.
  • Prepares details.
  • Prepares and writes reports.
  • Calculates and checks dimensions.
  • Provides field observation, review of shop drawings and product submittals during construction.
  • Work overtime when necessary.
