About The Position

Stanley Consultants is seeking a motivated, energetic, and ambitious Engineer-In-Training with a passion for engineering to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to gain meaningful engineering experience on highway projects, including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, and large, complex highway corridors. The Engineer-In-Training will collaborate with and learn from experienced Professional Engineers and be mentored by industry leaders in transportation. They will support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including plan development for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects, such as horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination. The position offers a diverse client base and the chance to contribute to the communities served by the firm.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
Engineer Intern (EIT) registration required, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
0-2 years of civil engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred.
Proven communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.
Experience with or capable to learn Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil3D.
Experienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm.
Proven strong work ethic and a collaborative team player.
