Older adults taking multiple medications are often confused about what they're taking, why, and what to watch for, and their caregivers and physicians are working from fragmented, incomplete information. This role is to build an AI chronic care companion that starts with medication management and grows into a coordination layer connecting patients, caregivers, and physicians through precise logs, symptom tracking, and clearer handoffs. The goal is to build a medication management workflow that helps older adults understand what they are taking, why they are taking it, and what conflicts to watch for. This includes a voice-friendly or chat-based interface suitable for lower-digital-literacy users, caregiver and clinician views that transform day-to-day logs into useful summaries and follow-up context, and a system for adherence, symptom, and condition tracking to improve continuity of care. The role involves owning the build across conversational experience, medication logic, patient and caregiver workflow, and deployment, with a focus on designing for trust, clarity, and low-friction use by older adults. The engineer will decide where GenAI adds value and where deterministic safety checks are crucial, and will work with patients, caregivers, and clinicians to ensure the product reduces confusion rather than creating new risks. Collaboration with AI Fund's build team on market fit and platform development is also a key aspect.
