About The Position

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) is seeking an Engineer in Charge (EIC) for the Production SkyCam department. The EIC will ensure the safe and effective deployment of the SkyCam system through sound processes and operations and effective communication between the Technical Operations manager and Sky-NOC. This role involves acting as the on-site manager for equipment and crew, interfacing with clients and venue operators, providing guidance to the crew, and performing field repairs. The EIC will work under the direction of the NOC & Technical Operations Manager regarding system deployment and maintenance, and will communicate technical needs and operational issues to the NOC and TOM. The position requires documenting deployments, managing site surveys, and ensuring all safety schedules and protocols are followed. This is a contract position based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in media, broadcasting, technical, engineering, or production industry.
Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Electrically and mechanically inclined, proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Possesses good analytical and creative skills.
Strong communications skills and eagerness to collaborate with different people.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
Extensive domestic and international travel; must possess or able to obtain US Passport.
Valid Driver’s License as required.

Responsibilities

Acts as on-site manager for equipment and crew at an event, and a point of contact for other crews/EICs in the field.
Interfaces directly with the client, venue operator or other crew leaders to ensure safe and proper installation.
Provides guidance to and mentoring of SkyCam crew.
Capable of field repairs and directing other crew members with the setup and operation of the equipment.
Familiar with the operation of all necessary tools and the various pieces and parts to assemble and rig the system.
Works under the direction of the NOC & Technical Operations Manager regarding the deployment of the system and the maintenance and repair of the systems.
Communicates all technical needs and irregular operations to the NOC and TOM.
Provides final report on all live events.
Documents all deployments as required.
Manages and participates in site surveys.
Equipment setup and operation.
Crew management.
Interfacing with client and venue personnel.
Equipment field repairs as directed by the Director of Engineering.
Safe operation of equipment (weather, equipment breakdowns, etc.).
Complete Tech report for each job.
Report and directly communicate all equipment issues and recommendations to the CTO.
Provide updates to site surveys as needed.
Ensure all safety schedules and protocols are flowed including Pre-Flight, NOC, and flight parameters.
Participates in various meetings, as required, such as staff, operational and organizational meetings.
