Requirements

Ten (10) years of experience as a Marine Engineer demonstrating the ability to handle growing levels of responsibility.
USCG license endorsed as Chief Engineer of Motor Vessels of at least 4000 Horsepower upon the Great Lakes, Near Coastal Waters, Oceans or equivalent.
Universal HVAC certification required.
Superior mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC skills.
CPR and Firefighting training is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to work independently, complete projects, and solve problems with limited supervision.
Must have the ability to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations.
Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all areas of the vessel in order to perform accurate inspections.
Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Ability to complete all required certifications.

Responsibilities

Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
Updates and manages ongoing preventive maintenance program.
Communicates and works hand in hand with Captain in Charge.
Responsible for keeping all logs up to date throughout watch as tasks are completed.
Keeps all systems up to regulations and demonstrates all tests as required by quarterly USCG inspections.
Manages, disciplines, and reviews all engineering team members on designated watch, in accordance with company policy.
Plans, manages, and successfully executes ongoing projects in the casino.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
