About The Position

Corning is hiring an Engineer – Imaging & Diagnostics in Corning, NY at Sullivan Park. This is an onsite role working Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week with flexibility as needed, and relocation assistance is provided. The position includes travel up to 50% on average annually depending on project needs, primarily domestic with occasional international travel possible. For engineers who want more variety, more hands-on problem solving, and more exposure than a typical single-site role can offer, this position provides the opportunity to use imaging, optics, sensors, and custom diagnostic systems to understand how processes behave and why issues occur. The team supports work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments, helping Corning improve processes, troubleshoot problems, and advance new technologies across multiple businesses and stages of innovation. It is a strong fit for someone with a background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, measurements, instrumentation, imaging, optics, automation, or experimental systems who enjoys building test setups, analyzing data, and turning technical observations into practical solutions.
