About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer III will maintain a safe, efficient and well operated property. Engineering is expected to respond to all maintenance requests with a positive attitude and pleasant disposition. Preventive maintenance tasks will be assigned daily. Support the Emergency Response Team to handle emergencies around the resort.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical background with a minimum 5 years hands on activity, requiring journey level trade discipline responsibility.
  • Certification or Coursework in engineering/maintenance related field of study
  • Ability to provide personal hand tools.
  • Ability to use, read and understand Volt-Ohm-Meter.
  • Responsible for arriving to work on-time or early for scheduled shift, in all weather conditions, and as called upon.
  • Virginia driver’s license.
  • Ability to work weekends consistently and work holidays as needed.
  • Must be a team player and also needs to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for and not limited to operating the chilled water plant and boilers to maintain temperatures throughout the property.
  • Operating various equipment, maintaining domestic hot and cold water systems, glycol systems, AES systems and electrical switchgear to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintenance to VAV’s, fan coils and split units.
  • Performs inspections of all property assets to ensure maintenance to standard.
  • Assist Facility Manager in monitoring energy consumption, maintaining equipment and supply inventories.
  • Maintains open communication and planning with all resort property departments to ensure smooth operations and guest/member satisfaction.
  • Maintains daily work logs and records to meet labor costs with budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and special projects by Management.
  • Fix/repair toilet problems, stopped-up sinks, minor electrical problems, lock problems, guest room safe problems, HVAC problem and other maintenance requests.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of all equipment and work area.
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance to property standards.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
  • Provides supervision and training to subordinate engineering positions.
