About The Position

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking an Engineer III, Web Application to work on developing ad campaign manager workflows for TV Native ad products. This role involves contributing to the design, architecture, building, deploying, and maintaining multiple ad campaign manager components using React, JavaScript, and Ruby for ad creatives management. The position requires hands-on development with a focus on software architecture and engineering best practices. The engineer will work as part of a full-stack team within a broader engineering organization with a strong technical culture, writing efficient, clean, readable, fast, testable, and documented code. The role involves quickly prototyping and developing consumer-facing services that will be displayed on millions of devices. Collaboration with internal and external teams, including Product Managers, UX designers, and other Software Engineers, is essential to deliver a compelling and user-friendly product. The engineer will also collaborate with peers and leaders across various Samsung Ad sites to improve platform capabilities and drive cross-site efforts. Effective communication of ideas to peers and distributed teams is important. The role contributes to building a system with a test-driven development/Agile approach, demonstrating engineering best practices, enforcing code review guidelines, and supporting the team throughout the product lifecycle. Driving quality through peer code reviews and sharing expertise, with an emphasis on unit testing, is expected. The engineer will work with geographically distributed teams and contribute to Technical Proposals to enhance software design and architecture.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 2 years post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related engineering/developer related job titles.
  • 2 years of experience in Front end engineering in ad technology or related industry.
  • 2 years of experience using JavaScript and React to build UI workflows for information gathering regarding advertising creatives.
  • 2 years of experience with version control systems Git and front-end build tools including webpack and npm.
  • 2 years of experience in performance optimization, responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • 2 years of experience with Astro, Node.JS, and React.
  • 2 years of experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • 2 years of experience with AWS / Kubernetes.

Responsibilities
