Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (ABET accredited required).
  • Minimum 4 years of applicable natural gas or water engineering design experience (for Engineer III).
  • Minimum 8 years of natural gas or water engineering design experience (for Engineer IV).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience (for Engineer IV).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with natural gas distribution and transmission system design.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to the natural gas industry.
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure or capital improvement projects.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in mentoring, technical leadership, and professional development of others.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, designing, and supporting natural gas and water distribution infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing engineering studies, technical analyses, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Supporting construction, operations, maintenance, and system improvement initiatives.
  • Managing capital improvement projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and contractor coordination.
  • Developing, reviewing, and approving engineering drawings and project documentation.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD and other engineering software to support project development and execution.
  • Collaborating with operations personnel, contractors, consultants, developers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to engineering staff.
