Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Engineer III - Electric Grid Asset Management position within its Planning team. This role provides professional engineering services to support team goals in fully realizing asset value through managing risk, performance, and cost over the lifecycle of assets. The position drives existing asset management programs and develops new ones from the ground up. Key programs include distribution cable/feeder remediation, resilience enhancements, marine crossing, transmission equipment inspection and replacement, pole inspection and remediation, substation reliability, substation SCADA, and electric vehicle enablement for the electric system. The role involves reviewing asset attributes to ensure alignment with PSE’s asset management strategy roadmap and expectations, interpreting and applying existing guidelines and engineering principles to complex assignments, and supporting the continued development of PSE’s engineering workforce by sharing knowledge. The position also supports emergency response operations when needed. All PSE employees are expected to uphold safety compliance standards, conduct business honestly and ethically, and adhere to regulatory compliance obligations.
