About The Position

The Engineer III, Core Platforms and Networks, independently performs tasks related to networking, monitoring, and data center operations within Infrastructure & Network Services with a focus on Core Platforms and Networks with minimal supervision. This role takes ownership of assigned workstreams, applies critical thinking to resolve complex issues, and ensures deliverables meet quality and compliance standards. The Engineer III, Core Platforms and Networks, is responsible for maintaining and operating the foundational technology infrastructure that supports PDS Health's clinical and business operations. The Engineer III, Core Platforms and Networks, coordinates with cross-functional peers, may mentor entry-level team members, and contributes to process improvement. This role ensures compliance with network security standards, data center compliance requirements, and applicable infrastructure regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure and networks or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure and networks principles, tools, and industry standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware VCP, or equivalent.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies.
  • Effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the healthcare (medical or dental industry), retail, or other large enterprise organizations.
  • Working knowledge of network, server, storage, and monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering, implementation, and operation of technical systems with focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Analyze system reliability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Develop automation of operational tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
  • Deliver incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Recommend improvements to infrastructure-as-code development and deployment.
  • Manage monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Analyze implementation and maintenance of security best practices.
  • Deliver collaboration with development, operations, and security teams.
  • Develop cost management and optimization of resource utilization.
  • Recommend improvements to documentation of infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Manage participation in on-call rotations for incident escalation and resolution.
  • Analyze evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
