This position will be responsible for the Electrical Engineering requirements on some of the highest profile, most strategic projects across the entire Andersen Enterprise. The role involves being a Controls Engineering Design Resource, performing Electrical/Controls/PLC Engineering design work with a focus on hardware controls design, evaluating solutions to problems, writing machinery control functional specifications, and documenting electrical design changes. The position also supports capital equipment and equipment projects by assisting in the development of electrical/controls functional specifications, communicating electrical specs/standards to suppliers, and verifying documentation requirements. The engineer will evaluate technology to meet specifications, complete the electrical portion of safety assessments, create electrical/controls support plans for new equipment, and maintain electrical standards and specifications (Safety, documentation, wiring practices). The role requires the ability to evaluate Controls/PLC Technology for plant applications, provide detailed quotes/estimates for Controls/PLC Engineering and electrician work, and design/modify/debug Control PLC Systems using plant standard technology/software packages. Collaboration within a project team and across enterprise locations is essential. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office per week, with up to 50% travel.
