About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your technical expertise across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects? CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II to join our Water Team in Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; or Evansville, IN . In this role, you will support the design and delivery of impactful water/wastewater projects while developing your expertise through collaboration, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience required
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with data management and spreadsheet experience required
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and willingness to learn within the engineering discipline
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of preliminary design concepts and perform comparative cost analyses for water/wastewater systems
  • Assist in creating computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Identify and correct technical discrepancies in analytical results, following established procedures
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as firm and client standards
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of water/wastewater systems
