About The Position

Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation. The Vehicle Engineer will work on the development of vehicles used by customers around the world. This position requires a passion for vehicles and the desire to work with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment to bring new and exciting products to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Plastics Engineering Technology, or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years’ experience is recommended.
• Proficient at identifying project/subsystem risks and developing/executing subsequent mitigation plans.
• The right individual will be self-motivated, a strong collaborator, able to think creatively and work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results.
• Expert in technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Employs “best” solution to problem rather than most evident (considers business impact to other departments as well as technical requirements).
• High capability in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the design process for vehicle related components and systems from connect to production.
• Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component specifications.
• Perform project related assignments and work directly with all functions of the organization to ensure project success with respect to Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Ensure technical rigors for all projects assigned (Specification, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and Technical Design Reviews).
• Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components and subsystems to Club Car specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
