About The Position

The Systems Engineer II is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and eliminating shipping friction for both employees and customers. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers moderately complex infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Leads documentation efforts for infrastructure configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with Estes standards. Conducts performance tuning and capacity planning for multiple systems or services, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Performs advanced root cause analysis and drives resolution of recurring issues through systemic improvements. Collaborates cross-functionally to refine and standardize operational processes and procedures. Develops and maintains automation scripts and tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual effort. Leads small to mid-sized infrastructure projects or workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing activities. Participates in on-call rotation and may serve as escalation point for complex issues. Demonstrate and champion the established “TRUCKS” cultural principles of transparency, responsiveness and resiliency, understanding, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and simplicity throughout the organization. Regular attendance is required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • 2 or more years of relevant IT systems experience required. 4 or more years prior experience preferred.
  • Must be able to handle moderately complex issues and problems, only referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Must possess solid working knowledge of subject matter required.
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to interact well with others
  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
