The Systems Engineer II is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and eliminating shipping friction for both employees and customers. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers moderately complex infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Leads documentation efforts for infrastructure configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with Estes standards. Conducts performance tuning and capacity planning for multiple systems or services, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Performs advanced root cause analysis and drives resolution of recurring issues through systemic improvements. Collaborates cross-functionally to refine and standardize operational processes and procedures. Develops and maintains automation scripts and tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual effort. Leads small to mid-sized infrastructure projects or workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing activities. Participates in on-call rotation and may serve as escalation point for complex issues. Demonstrate and champion the established “TRUCKS” cultural principles of transparency, responsiveness and resiliency, understanding, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and simplicity throughout the organization. Regular attendance is required.
