About The Position

Product Safety, Certification & Validation (PSC&V) is seeking a motivated, high-energy Test Engineer to support experimental military and commercial jet engine assembly and test activities. The role supports validation programs through assembly, instrumentation, and testing techniques in jet engine development, industrial relations, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. The Test Engineer ensures assembly operations are ready and test vehicle builds, tests, teardowns, and inspections are executed flawlessly. The role interfaces with a cross-functional team to ensure test and validation requirements are met on time and within budget. The engineer begins in Assembly Operations, supporting programs that include next-generation product-family engines, advanced engine programs, operational commercial and military engine programs, and auxiliary power units. The role provides technical direction, troubleshooting, and daily coordination for build and teardown requirements, and develops solutions to test and validation requirements while working with some supervision. The engineer may expand beyond assembly to support all validation phases, including planning, testing, data analysis, and opportunities at flight test. Frequent off-shift coverage and schedule flexibility to support weekends (approximately 25%) are required for 24/7 operations. Some travel may be required for continuous learning and program validation support. This position is primarily onsite in Middletown, Connecticut.
