About The Position

This position is for a Project Engineering professional working independently. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets. Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations. Supports in the preparation of status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management. Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work. Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements. Supports engineering change execution. Mains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met. Support in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans. Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects. Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives. Support military budget EVMS activities & support project management activities. Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required. Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE tools and support AS9100 efforts. Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company. Travel is up to 10%. English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in engineering or an Advanced degree in Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
  • Previous gas turbine compressor experience
  • Experience with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software
