The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution. This position is 70% management and 30% technical. The role involves working daily with the larger EPDS team on procurements and programmatics, establishing strong supplier relationships (batteries, solar arrays, and control electronics), and preparing and managing hardware definition and interfaces. A strong hardware background is required. The position also requires extensive technical writing, including proposal development, contractual elements, procedural definitions, specifications, interfaces, analysis support, and description documents. Additionally, the engineer will prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers, and maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company is crucial, as is interacting appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Other duties as necessary will also be performed.
