As an Engineer III, you’ll work independently on projects and technical assignments that directly impact our operations. Your extensive knowledge of processes and ability to evaluate, innovate and handle numerous projects are vital to this role. You may be asked to prepare and deliver presentations and lead small, specialized teams to identify and resolve technical and project management issues! Day in the Life You will help translate commercial opportunities, producer forecasts, and system constraints into clear project scopes, capital estimates, schedules, and execution recommendations for Rockies growth projects. This work includes developing early project concepts, evaluating pipeline and facility alternatives, coordinating hydraulic modeling and forecast analysis, and aligning scope, cost, schedule, and business drivers with Commercial, Operations, and other key project stakeholders. The role is a hybrid role of project development and system planning. As a project developer you will lead the project definition, cost basis, schedule alignment, gate deliverables, project documentation, and stakeholder coordination, while as a system planner you will lead the gathering system modeling, volume forecast validation, hydraulic analysis, pressure/capacity evaluations, and technical recommendations that inform project scope and commercial decisions. Together, the focus is to identify constraints and expansion opportunities, and practical alternatives that support safe, reliable, and commercially aligned system growth in the Rockies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • A minimum four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
  • Exhibits excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

Nice To Haves

  • FE Certification
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong understanding of natural gas gathering systems and operational constraints.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., Synergi Gas or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, VBA, or Python for analysis and reporting.
  • Business and financial acumen related to project development and execution.
  • PMP Certificate and Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations to individuals
  • Interprets internal/external customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies responses
  • Works on a combination of engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
  • Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
  • Champions processes, procedures and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned
